Our group has been formed to assist and represent the plight of our younger veterans. This group operates out of the Redlands Veterans Community Centre, supporting younger veterans and members of the Defence Force, Cadets and Reserve Forces. The welfare of our younger veterans and that of their loved ones is our highest priority. We welcome new members and encourage the involvement of family and friends. We are passionate about ensuring your rights and benefits are up held now and into the future.
Our group is composed of members of varying ages and backgrounds bringing together a wide diversity of knowledge and experience from all facets of the ADF. Due to evolving legislation and multiple acts, it can be confusing and overwhelming trying to understand your rights and access your entitlements. That is why we have trained volunteers with great understanding of the various acts, ready to help. We recognise that it can be a hard transition out of the forces and into civilian life. This can be made that much harder when you are dealing with injury or disability. Our members have all walked this lonely road at some time and are here so that you do not have to walk it alone.
We strive to provide support services and a welcoming environment for all. Somewhere you can pick up your feet and unload some of the worries of the world. We also enjoy a laugh and a chat and welcome participation in any of our activities and trips that are currently being planned.
At present our volunteers are at the Redlands Veterans Community Centre, Passage Street, Cleveland on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We are here to help and welcome any interest toward this group.
